Small Businesses ran by Boss Women featuring Bare & Free Beauty

Paige is the founder of Bare and Free Beauty which is an all vegan beauty and skin care brand. She does this while raising 3 children in New York. She has started everything from the ground up herself. Let me be the first to say she is a boss lady, first off for raising her two sons and then for raising her sister PLUS she started her own business. *snaps* *claps*

I have been lucky enough to try the Citrus Vitamin C serum which worked wonders for my skin. I would highly recommend the product, it made my skin more glow-y and helped with acne scars.

How did you come up with your idea for your business?

Beauty has always been big for me. I’ve been vegan for over 2.5 years so I wanted to take the hrs work out of looking for quality products! Since becoming vegan I’ve embarked on my spiritual journey, activated gifts, and just really found myself. I wanted to give that feeling that I had to my customers. So I started Bare and Free Beauty! To look good you have to feel good!

How did you start your business?

I already had an LLC, so it wasn’t too hard to update the name and just jump into it. I incorporate herbs now so I had to really familiarize myself with everything and become an herbalist.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned since starting your business?

Never give up and don’t box yourself in. You will constantly evolve. If you don’t then there is something wrong lol. I’ve learned to pace myself and just do what works for me. Positive intent always.

What advice do you have for someone who is interested in starting a business?

Know your why. It’s so important to know why you’re doing something. I don’t care how many times you mess up. Knowing why you’re doing it makes it worth it.

What has been the biggest challenge in your entrepreneurship journey?

Funding yourself. Oh my goodness it can get pricey. I opted to not do any loans so everything I have comes from my own pockets. It’s not easy but it’s worth it to me. Also keeping on schedule. I am so forgetful! It’s insane!

Do you have any favorite brands from business women that you admire and would like to give a shoutout to and why?

I will tag below and I love them because they are dope as hell and we gotta stick together!!

What has made you the proudest since starting your business?

Honestly how supportive people actually are. There are days that I just want to give up but I’m constantly reminded that I got this and I love the support. It’s  truly amazing.

A special thank you to Paige for contributing to our series!
